parabellum

Parabellum (working title) tries to document and say something about today through the ruination of our former invasion defence — which have been dismantled since the 1990s.

I'm not trying to tell it from a militarized point of view (even though I'm sure you can read that into it as well if you're so inclined) but from an archaeological standpoint — as a form of ruin memory — and how they become things-for-themselves when they loose their purpose (for us), and what that might speak to — about the things themselves as well as us.
