The bound sketchbook rests on a dark gridded surface. Its largely blank beige outer page bears scattered smudges and small red marks, with woven binding visible along the left edge.

A hand-bound landscape A4 sketchbook made with Clairefontaine Paint'ON Naturel, a heavy, warm beige mixed-media paper.

The book contains work in ink, acrylic, watercolour and oil pastel, among other materials.

Overlapping turquoise, yellow, red and white blocks form a dense composition crossed by thin black rectangular outlines, with large looping circles towards the upper right and lower centre.
A turquoise circle at upper left and a yellow-green circle at lower right sit among layered coloured bars, black outlines and a broad orange-red diagonal sweeping upwards across the page.
Rough-edged red, pale blue, yellow, green and white blocks form a rising diagonal across dark russet and olive areas, intersected by angular outlines and broken white bands.
A large orange-red form and a black oval sit among muted green, ochre and burgundy blocks. Angular white lines, tangled loops and soft-edged pink and white patches cross the layered surface.
Three solid black discs descend along the right half of the beige page, beside sweeping red arcs, soft orange and grey patches, and clusters of jagged black hatching.
Thin, irregular lines cross translucent yellow and green areas, with a dark circular mark at the upper left and scattered red patches across the pale surface.
Broad orange and red sweeps surround a tall black bar just right of centre. A black block anchors the lower left, with horizontal strokes, loose loops and scattered dark blots.
Diagonal yellow and orange bands connect loose black loops across the beige page. A denser cluster of curved outlines, dotted strips and dark patches occupies the right-hand side.
Two large dark rectangular areas are surrounded by fine, irregular black lines and densely stippled passages, with a ringed circular form at the upper right and a broad curved stroke along the bottom.
Numerous thin, mostly horizontal black lines stretch across the page, interrupted by an elongated orange form, a dark circular mark on the left and a narrow downward extension.
A long diagonal form filled with small pale dots crosses translucent yellow, red and ochre areas, surrounded by dark blotches, fine intersecting lines and short vertical marks.
An irregular orange and turquoise band stretches across the lower page, branching upwards on the left. A large loosely outlined ring containing dark dots sits above it towards the right.
A dense network of fine lines and overlapping shapes fills a muted reddish rectangle, with scattered orange, red and dark fragments against the beige paper.
